from ch 25 to ch 26 why did they do this ??

WTVE was @ ch 95 so they moved it to ch 25


BTW ch 26 was hbo's old spot for many years
 
Probably they asked Comcast to put them on channel 25. Channel 48 asked for channel 18 years ago from Comcast on all the Comcast headends. That made Comcast-Garden State Cable move all the local school channels from 18 to 19.

WTVE also has Ch 25 on FiOS. It looks like Comcast-Garden State Cable also moved TNT from Ch 25 to Ch 16 in SD (where HBO3 was) to put WTVE on Ch 25.
