Oh you live in Centredale? That's to bad. You will clearly be out of the WALE listening range.

I'd like some of what radiowavesri is smoking or drinking. It must be real good stuff.

Scott knows what he's talking about. This Providence board has been inundated with loads of unsubstantiated rumors about some "missing-in-action" station, namely the now silent WALE/990 for months now. Face it. This station has been a 50,000 watt (yeah, right!) disaster practically since the day it turned on. I would not be surprised if this station stays silent for keeps, as the electric bill for this station is prohibitive for anyone operating it. Someone would have to have deep pockets to foot the bill for 990's operation. The only way that this station would be successful is to "dollar-a-holler" it. And based about the past few years of operation of this station, it doesn't even work there either. I would not hold any stock on those rumors about some possible 5th tier talk station in Providence, especially if it is WALE/990.

I think we all realize that our chains are being yanked. When the station doesn't go on the air as scheduled in a couple of weeks, Mr. WALE will blame it on unforeseen problems. Possibly another break in where not only the equipment was stolen again but this time probably the whole building too.
