Fybush: unanswered questions re: Red Sox rights

http://fybush.com/nerw.html"a bunch of unanswered questions""For the Sox, it's all about the money." (And for the radio groups...)He also says WEEI, WEEI-FM, etc. could still do OK even withoutSox rights; Greater Media still has to deal with the WCRBmatter...possible format switches on their properties...alsocould there be _two_ Sports FMs in the Hub?...and what willbecome of ESPN 890/1400?What I think might happen: WBOS goes to sports-talk and Red Soxand grabs the ESPN affiliation away from 890/1400 (strongersignal! Red Sox connection); AAA or country could be moved to102.5, and 99.5 could be sold off...Keep in mind ESPN affiliation would give "Sports Talk 92.9" overnight programmingplus some Sunday night baseball/All Star Games/playoffs (that don't involve the Sox)------------------------Fybush: "For the Sox, it's all about the money. The present Sox management has demonstrated repeatedly that it puts money above sentiment. (Just ask the Yankees' center fielder.)"

Nice rundown by Scott but I do think it's a done deal. Would like to see the Sox on 102.5 with its much stronger signal south of 128. I'd agree that WEEI will still be very strong even without the Bosox ,however if WBOS were to get a strong drivetime lineup to go along with the headliner Sox, I think it would be a significant hit to EEI dominance.
