G.E. Super Radio 3

Hi. I have a G.E. Super Radio 3 that was hit by lightning. Oddly enough, the only part that got affected was the reception of the f.m. side. It has the "white noise" or snow sound, but it will not pick up anything. It is like a receiver without an outdoor antenna. I've tried to connect an outdoor antenna but it's still the same.

I know it's difficult to say without seeing the radio but does anyone have any idea as far as a possible fix? would it even be worth it? I know there are those of you on this board more advanced in these matters than I. Have not taken it for service anywhere yet.

The a.m. (what I used most times anyway) is not affected and works as great as it always has.

Thanks.

Sounds like either the RF is blown, or the tuning voltage isn't getting there. I have a sacrificial board from an SR-3, I might be able to help. Contact me on the Yahoo SR-3 group.
