G Rock Airstaff? Who Are They?

B

Burnett

Guest
I enjoy listening to G Rock Radio's personalities. However, I was curious if anyone knew who these people were and where they came from? Seems like some have been at the station for quite a bit of time now..

Dave Wetmore?
Brian Phillips?
Jen Ursillo?
Aimee Dio?
Zanyor? (this guy's a nut. not saying it bad, hes just a nut.)
Matt Knight? (is this the same jock who was at the old B98.5? If so, I think I've been hearing him on at night for many years straight.)

I think they're a good staff and I was curious if anyone knew their backgrounds or some information about them.

Cheers,
Burnett

> Jen Ursillo?

She did the morning show with Shawn Michaels on WOBM for a time after Lisa Leonard left a few years ago ...
I beleive she was also on WRAT ...

> Aimee Dio?

Aimee started off at WJLK doing Saturday mornings a few years ago (as "Aimee A",) then transferred to a Vermont classic rock station doing mid-days (as "Aimee Morgan") ...
When that station got sold, she moved back here to G Rock ...

Yes, Matt Knight was "Kid Knight" on B98.5 ...

I agree. As far as I'm concerned, they're the only reason that I listen to the station. In fact I wish Press would let them talk as much as the jocks on CBS/Infinity's K-Rock. Alas, they're a music station, and a music station with such an incredibly safe playlist that they make K-Rock look like underground pirate radio.

Soul Crusher.

We get it. YOU want an Active Rocker. Last I looked, G was #1 in the market. They must be doing something that the majority wants.
______________

Active Rocker? System Of A Down, Mudvayne, Taproot, 30 Seconds To Mars, Finch, Slipknot - ALL currently on the Modern Rock charts, and ALL not receiving any spins on G Rock Radio. G Rock Radio is simply opting for a softer, female-friendly take on the Modern Rock format. And there's nothing wrong with that - except for the fact that it will likely prevent someone else from signing on with a REAL Modern Rock format in this market (which WJSE is actually closer to, despite the occasional spins of GN'R and AC/DC).
