G ROCK RADIO ADDS 106.5 Station Press Release
Press Communications, LLC General Manager Frank Calderaro announced today the addition of 106.5 FM (WKOE-FM, Bass River Township, NJ) to the G Rock Radio network. G Rock Radio, the market’s only modern rock radio station, is also broadcast on 106.3 (WHTG-FM, Eatontown, NJ) and 98.5 (WBBO-FM, Ocean Acres, NJ).
Press recently relocated WKOE-FM from Ocean City, moving it north to Bass River Township and changing its dial position from 106.3 to 106.5. As 106.3 FM out of Ocean City, WKOE formerly broadcast the Breeze, Press’ adult contemporary format, which remains on 107.1 (WWZY-FM, Long Branch, NJ) and 99.7 (and WBHX-FM, Beach Haven, NJ).
As 106.5, the station is expected to super serve most of Ocean County and be a perfect compliment to 106.3, WHTG-FM, whose signal is strongest in northern Ocean and Monmouth Counties and areas north. Automobiles equipped with RDS technology will automatically lock on the stronger signal of 106.3 or 106.5 as listeners travel north and south through the market and beyond.
In addition, 106.5’s call letters will change to WBBO-FM, while 98.5 will change to WKOE-FM.
“Adding 106.5 to G Rock Radio’s dial positions is very exciting for us,” according to GM Calderaro. “Now G Rock Radio is bigger, better and easier for our listeners to remember.”
