G103-3 goes Hip Hop?

The transition to Hip Hop occurred over night.

The format has no imaging & no brand. Top of the hour ID KTFM HD-2.

G103.3 webpage has been removed.

Temporary format?

Oh wow no surprise. Like SA needs another rap station.

Yeah....disappointed with the change.

My guess is kick them(The Beat) while their down?

And The Vibe sucks. Praying the new owners clean out Univision Radio with fresh minds.

I'd like to see a SA station playing hip-hop with no pop. The Beat is too heavy on the pop that other stations play. They should make 103.3 like 97.9 in Houston.

A 0.4 share is not going to cut it, no matter the format. But if Alpha wants to do this format why not just skew KTFM more Rhythmic? They're not winning vs. KXXM, and KBBT is falling by the wayside. Not because San Antonio's Rhythmic audience is suddenly vanishing, but KBBT isn't doing it right. There are obviously some major problems over there, just waiting for a buyer to take over or whatever is going on(or not going on).

I'm not convinced the new 103.3 format will do anything AT ALL. The signal doesn't even cover the metro and the branding is weak.

WE. We what? We...have no live jocks? We...play hip hop music? SA has seen that show already.

I know, they have a station called "WE" in Amarillo that they acquired several months ago. Why wouldn't you wait and see if it works there first before trying it in a larger market?

This station is not going do anything. They may even take a slice of their own KTFM audience in the process.

The objective is not to win with this station. It is to fragment other stations a bit so that their other cluster-mates have a better sales strategy.

Alpha Media needs to pull the plug on WE 103.3. The syndicated shows, prizes, social media, etc. haven't attracted listeners. I believe G103.3 had better PPMs before Vibe 107.5 came on the air.
