G105 CHR-Pop or CHR-Rhythmic?

I know radio and records and radiostationworld.com classify it as a CHR-Pop/Top 40 but is it just me or do they sound like they are leaning towards CHR-Rhythmic? I was listening today and the only songs that i heard that were pop was the Plain White T's Hey there Delilah and a Maroon 5 song but the rest sounded more rhythmic. Do you agree? Comments or thoughts. Thanks

With no CHR Rhythmic in the market they're free to slide back and forth as they wish, leaning one way at times and back at others. Lack of format competition gives them a lot of leeway.

So what is wrong with leaning? We always complain about cookie cutter radio - why not be encouraged by a station that wants to defy definition! I think it shows the PD is in tune with his market and has the authority to adjust his station accordingly.

Any good Hit oriented station rolls with the flow of whatever is
hot. G105 does this beautifully. They LEAN to the Hits.

So now we have two good PDs at Smoketree (Chris Shebel being the second one when he took over at 93.9); now if only they'd clean up the two messes on 100.7 and 106.1...

Pass that crack pipe over here...are you holdin enough in Berlin? I can't quite see the same hallucination you do. Oh wait there's Randi West...but just not making out that other "good PD" you said you saw...wait, let's try this blow torch instead of that Bic...might come into focus a little better, nope still not seein it.

So... what's wrong with 93.9 Kiss FM?

I don't see what's wrong with 93.9 Kiss. I've been listening since it launched after Christmas and don't know what everybody's griping about. This Kiss sounds more like Kiss than its G-boro namesake on 105.7...

Everyone acts like any station with a KISS name has to be top 40 or something like it. All of them may not be CC stations, but I've heard plenty of other KISS R&B stations, like 107.7 in Fayetteville. Plus CC uses Kiss for some of their country stations. Anyway, I've seen multiple times where someone says "that doesn't sound like Kiss"...who says what KISS should sound like?

Heck, I grew up in Miami, where KISS is a country station (and they're not even owned by Clear Channel). The name may have been used over the years primarily as a CHR brand (especially in CC's case), but stations have been using it for other formats as well for decades.
