G4 after many months

After not having cable for many months at my house, I visited someone that has cable and wanted to see how G4 has progressed.

Not to my surprise, it has gotten worse IMO. When did Olivia Munn become their little annoying darling and get her face stuck on everything?

I have also noticed Attack of the Show has gotten sillier and they spend very little time giving viewers useful information.

I am watching the Ninja Warrior marathon currently and jeez get on with it. I don't give a crap about how Olivia chose a winner for a contest or his entrance video. Please G4 just get on with the obstacle course. Is that not the point of the show?

G4 has been a real inspiration not to get cable and stick with my rabbit ears.

G4 is still on the air?
Tragically yes.

You would think by now that they would take on an approach similar to the old ZDTV & LESS\ "gamer" like.

Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with shows that appeal & target video gamers as that is a BILLION-dollar industry BUT there are better - And MORE IMPORTANT - things in life than shows for video gamers.

I keep wondering why they don't show a weekday version of America's Most Wanted, targeting online sexual predators & other criminals who use computers to do their dirty work. I bet the captures would go up if AMW were to team up with G4.

But instead, G4 has just simply become yet another dumping ground for reruns of COPS.

Thoughts?

Cheers :)

(Of course who am I to talk about tasteless movies? Last night I was watching UNCLE BUCK on ION).

Whatever happened to the "RHI Movie Weekends" that were on ION? For the last few months, they had other movies on instead on the weekends. Worse, they show the films twice each night, instead of showing two different films.

The deal with RHI ended a while ago. Don't recall the circumstances.

every time I surf by G4 they are running a 15-yr. old episode of COPS
(and are ruining that with the pop-up nonsense)

And isn't that a shame? You'd think they would know gamers can't stand pop-ups.

G4 is a joke. I still can't believe they replaced techtv with this crap. Thank u very much comcast.

I like G4,I watch Cheaters and Cops all the time. :)

I will admit, I do miss that British show they used to run where a bunch of scantily clad young women would go out into a field with high explosives and blow stuff up. Now there's a producer who has his finger on the pulse of the male TV viewer! :D

Do you watch that new sexy women show? ;D

Nope, but I suppose that would be a logical replacement. Do they very sexily
destroy old cars with thermite explosions?

It's more like oil wrestling and extremely double jointed women along with some women usinh thing like hula hoops

Apparently, the one in Canada doesn't have the TechTV name attached to it anymore. Yes, through Canadian law it still had that TechTV name attached to it long after the America G4 abandoned it. Now it's simply G4 Canada with just the G4 logo but still use the g4techtv website name.

I would have wish this channel to become defunct way back when but Charter fixed that problem by moving it to one of their digital cable packages a couple years back. Also, I don't want the hosts of X-Play to lose their jobs since that was the only reason to watch this "channel". I hated Attack of the Show, but that was because the hosts annoyed the hell out of me and not really the content of the show.

I used to really like that tasty morsel who was on X-Play back around 2004-2005, Morgan Webb. She was the reason I tuned into that show. Sassy and beautiful.

When it was tech tv it had a few shows that made me tune in, after it switched to G4 my interest really dropped. Robot Wars was a great time. An amazing feat of engineering with machines that destroyed each other. I miss that show.

Morgan webb is still on x-play. I believe she just signed a new contract.

i gave up on G4/gtv, or attack of the crap,
or what ever the hell it is now.....
and believe me, i tried...giving them ALL
the benefit of every doubt, until i couldn't
watch it any longer. at one point, don't think
they were even covering video games....
they were AMAZING when the entire network reviewed
all genres/types/and production companies/manufactors of video/PC-games;
not just the "extremely" hyped up, or 'future releases'...

I will no longer watch G-4

*with one exception*
the first week of june, at e3-expo.

they seem to bring the "A" game, and have top notch
coverage...but it is e-3, how can they not have
some thing new/newsworthy to report....

Ah, G4, the network that buys syndicated programs like Cheaters and Whacked Out Videos and puts their own host/voiceover to make the shows unwatchable.

The only redeeming quality to the network is "Web Soup," but that isn't saying much.
