G8 question: setting the alarm for particular frequency.

Hey G8 owners, the owners manual is not helping me with this one, so I'm looking for insight.

The problem is the alarm going off, on a frequency not of my choosing. For example, in 'sleep' mode, I'd use 90.9, but in the morning the alarm sets off on 107.5 (default?), not the 90.9, which I'd like to wake up to. How do I choose the frequency I want for the alarm?

Thanks in advance!

I've never set the alarm on my G8, I'm trying to figure it out right now myself, I'll let you know if I can figure something out. My first guess would be to turn on the radio and push the alarm button while tuned to the station you want. I've set mine to go off in a half an hour for and tried to select 1350. After the alarm sign went on, I tuned the radio to 93.1 to see what will happen.

I tried resetting the alarm after it went off the first time for different times and different stations, and it always went off tuned to 1350. I think that once you set it once for a station, that it will go off on that station as a default. My only other guess is to hit the reset button with a pin. Maybe if we google the question, we can find an answer.

Sorry for the 3rd reply, but somehow I managed to get it to go off on 88.5 instead of 1350. What I did was first pushing the dispaly button with the radio on so it only displayed signal strength. Then I changed the band from AM to FM and went to 88.5. I pushed the alarm button and held it down for a few seconds. The speaker indicator flashed, then went solid. Once it went solid, that was the station it would turn on when the alarm went of. I just tried it (while typing this) at 89.1 and it went off on 89.1. I hope my instructions are clear. It seems you just have to hold the alarm button down when tuned to the station you want, wait for the speaker icon to stop flashing and voila.

Thanks neighbour! I'll give that a try.

EDIT: Yeah, it works! And the process is even simpler than your trial and error, mimo. While the radio is on, I tuned to the desired frequency and held down alarm button, as you've described. Then, with the radio off, I held down the alarm button and used the tuner 'wheel' to set alarm for desired time. Voila! Alarm came on on desired station, at desired time.

¡Muchas Gracias, Señor!
