Gaff of the year: People gather at Michael Jackson's radio talk show host star

This was terrible. They reported on channel 7 this afternoon that people were gathering at Michael Jackson's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, it was the wrong star! That's right. Michael Jackson, the radio host from KABC, KNX, and most recently KGIL, has a star on the walk for radio and was subjected to the wrong type of publicity.

It was because MJ's actual star was buried under the movie premiere of "Bruno" in front of Grauman's Chinese. But yeah, pretty hilarious.

Hey no-lifes hanging around the wrong star and having vigils next to a mansion he doesn't own and was not at:

We're all laughing AT you.

See you at the next chase, trial, etc. You always show up!

Being 57, I can remember my first thought in 1969 when I found out the Jackson Five's young lead singer was Michael Jackson... that he had the same name as that "English" talk show guy my mother liked. If you grew up in LA then, talk-show Michael came first.

Some years later, I was listening to talk-show Jackson's show on KABC - he had Gore Vidal on that day, and they were discussing Sen. Ted Kennedy, who neither of them liked. According to Jackson, Kennedy appeared on his radio show once, and told him how much he liked his music. The implication was that Kennedy was too drunk or stupid to tell the difference between an older British talk host and a (then) young pop star. I tend to think that Kennedy was joking.

It's way too bad that Jackson's death overshadowed Farrah Faucet's death. She was more worthy of coverage then Jackson. At least she didn't fool around with children.

To all of you living your lives by the seat of your pants or skirts remember this: Everyday you wake up and breathe this wonderful air around earth is a gift from God or whatever you believe gives you this or any other day.

Take Care Michael RIP and say hello to Jackie Wilson and Ray Charles. To Ed, Farrah, and Michael, God bless you all, you made the world a nicer place! We were are all touched by your lives!
