Gail left WCVB in 2010 when husband Scott was elected to the Senate. Since he lost his re-election bid, she is coming home to Wrentham. She's resigned from WJLA in DC and is looking for work in Boston.

I hope she comes back to WCVB. I hope to God she does NOT end up at Channel 7.

Mix WCVB's presentation with WHDH's fluff and you get WJLA. That said, I think 7 is above her.

On the contrary, WHDH needs a market veteran with gravitas and a mentor for younger reporters now that Victoria Block is retiring. Gail would be a good fit.

I hope she comes back to Boston TV. She is a beautiful and classy woman.

She lost a lot of credibility by jumping into the US Senate race and doing ads for Scott.

If she's reporting on Elizabeth Warren or some other Democratic Party-related story, how can I trust her?

That said, lots of people say she's a wonderful person. But she made a bad decision, career-wise.

SERIOUSLY??? GIVE ME A BREAK.

The local and national media are loaded with people who range from poorly-disguised to shamelessly open about their liberal, pro-Democrat politics, but somehow their ability to be objective is almost never questioned. Do you ever have any second thoughts about, say, George Stephanopoulos' or Chris Cuomo's ability to be objective? Of course not - because they were never associated with Republican or Conservative politics.

It has nothing to do with her husband being a Republican. If Scott Brown were a Democrat, I'd say the same thing.

And last I checked, George Stephanopoulos was not a reporter. He's a Sunday morning show commentator and host of a fluff-filled morning show. They talk more politics on the Sunday show in a week than they do in an entire year of Good Morning America.

But of course you would.

He is an employee of ABC's news division, and, despite the astoundingly trivial content of ABC's morning show, has numerous occasions to present and discuss political issues with the implication that he is an objective source. And he has a far more significant role than commentator on a Sunday morning show - he is the moderator of a supposedly no-fluff, serious program on current events.

Gail Huff has a proven record of integrity and class, and her return to the airwaves, particularly in a city like Boston, would be a welcome relief.
