Spring Nielsen (sp?) ratings are posted. The top five are:

WKTK
WSKY
WTMG
WYKS
WMFQ

Obviously WOGK and maybe Wind-FM would be in the top five if they subscribed.

Spring to Spring "KTK is up WSKY is down and WTMG, WYKS, WMFQ, WRUF-FM are all up while WTRS is down. It's hard to tell much about the bottom of the rankings as there have been format changes and frequency swaps. MARC might want to think about swapping 101.7 and 106.9. Hank-FM is doing better with a Class A signal than the Pulse with a C1 but guess the demos are all wrong. I hope Party is doing well in their demo as a .8 after all this time isn't much (WXJZ had a 3.5 in Spring 2012).

WOGK would be number 1 and Wind FM may even be number 2. WTRS used to have a simulcast on WYGC but they don't now, and WYGC pulled a .6, so that may be the issue there. WMFQ way up - may be a blip as the Nielson sample size is not very large in this market.

The Eastlan ratings are posted at All Access. They do have K-Country and Wind-FM 1 & 2. Party is doing better according to Eastlan.

Big differences between Eastlan and Nielsen on some stations. MFQ pulls a 1.3 with Eastlan and a 4.2 with Nielsen, and WSKY pulls a 5.4 with Eastlan and an 8.4 with Nielsen. Eastlan telephone surveys 2000 people - what is sample size for Nielsen? I understand it is substantially smaller, so that may be the difference. A smaller sample size is much more subject to variations.

Does anyone know a public source for Eastlan's Total Survey Area numbers for Gainesville (Alachua county)? All Access has the numbers for G-O Metro market 88 but Eastlans website says both are "available" for Spring 2014.

When MARC Radio first acquired the Pamal Gainesville cluster, WDVH-FM became the original WPLL while the current WPLL was adult contemporary WKZY. When management at the cluster changed, the formats and call letters were swapped to reflect what they are now. CCM did not perform very well on 101.7 while classic country Hank FM is performing much better for that area. Apparently CCM is performing fairly well; at least better on the 100kw stick.

Someone asked about the Spring '14 Eastlan #'s for the G-O market. This is straight from Allaccess.com. With nearly twice the sample size of Nielsen... along with better methodology and practices, you could make a valid point that Eastlan is a much more accurate representation of actual listenership. The following rankings go deep. Interesting to note that the WDVH-A/WRZN-A combo failed to show, despite the inclusion of some LPFM's and a collection of faraway stations.

I think someone was asking if there is a source for the Alachua county only ratings from Eastlan. I'm guessing they aren't going to release those for free.
