Gainesville Winter Ratings

K-Country continues at #1, WTRS & Kiss-FM are tied for #3, and 103.7 "The Gator" is #8. It looks like Kiss is the big winner with the demise of Rock 104 as they are up almost two points while The Buzz is up only slightly to tie WDVH at #15 (out of 28 stations listed). Of course these are 12+, and may still contain some Rock 104 numbers, so these results may not mean anything big.

According to the figures you supplied, it appears that WRUF-FM actually lost ratings if it is, indeed, 8th ranked 12+ persons overall. It was forth place in this same category as Rock 104.

Big win for both K-Country & WTRS. WOGK doubles the #2 station--a 5.8 spread, compared to 5.6 last winter. And on paper, TRS was the station at greatest risk from WRUF's entry into Country--and all they do is rocket up to #3 in the market. Nice job.

First full book for Country 103.7 The Gator... and they go 3.9-4.0, winter to winter, from #7 to #8, 12+. Yawn. No, it's not over, but it's not a "splash," either. Still looks like a dumb move from the outside. What does A25-54 or A18-49 look like?

I was using the figures from Radio Online but for some reason they omitted the Fall chart so I was comparing the Winter ratings to the Summer ratings. The rankings are correct but the increases are compared to Summer. WRUF-FM did drop .7 from Fall to Winter. The fall and winter ratings are here on Radio-Info.

Gator still looking fora Morning Show? That was posted a couple months back.

Buzz had strong growth in mornings in the demos that you'd expect them to. They were very strong with M18-49 and M-25-54.

Not often that you can track an audience's direct movement from Station A to Station B, but with L&T's shift across town this is one of those times. I'd still be interested in knowing how 103.7 is doing in the demos beyond 12+. Watching the tale unflold is more entertaining than most--it being UF and all...
