Galloway's shameless action

He bailed Quincy Carter out of jail? Well, not really. The bail company waived the fee, but come on! He tried to do it! If you are going to feel sorry for someone, why not donate a toy to a child for Christmas, not cross an ethical line for someone who you report on. :-[

Knowing Randy,as I do he is a VERY, VERY charitable man. He has donated to many causes, and has given to organize toy drives. One night while doing the
"Football Firing Line" He found out that a busboy working at The Railhouse Restaurant ( where the show was done) was killed that day in a car accident. He left behind a wife and 2 kids ages 4 & 2. A collection was taken up. Patrons would put a couple of dollars into the box. Randy placed 2 100 dollar bills!!

Randy started the "quincy bail out" as a joke( he admited it on camera). It then took off,and he is always willing to give a person a hand up, not a hand out. He felt if he could do this for Quincy, maybe ,just maybe Quincy will realize how far he has fallen and will get off the drugs. So don't trash Randy. At least he has a heart for someone in his position, which unfortunately is not shared by many in this profession.

It was a bit. Galloway was goofing on Quincy Carter and it was brilliant. No ethical line crossed. Galloway is an entertainer and that was entertaining.

I can't tell if it was shameless or not. I mean it is shameless to the degree that this cheap stunt (which actually cost him nothing since the fee was waived by the bonding company) got every media outlet on his bandwagon. He even had his name mentioned on The Ticket this morning. (whereas usually they just refer to him as Grandpa Urine). Absolutely everyone is talking about the Galloway show this morning and that is rare (just check out his ratings).

On the other hand Galloway is loaded. What is $100 to him? -or even $200? Nothing. When our cheap management was too scrinchy to upgrade the equipment in his studio, he went out and bought a big flat screen HD tv for the studio out of his own pocket.

I know that change is inevitable, but I still hate it !! :)

With that being said, I sure miss listening to Randy on WBAP at 6pm. I would think that his ratings have sunk badly since moving to the new time slot. I would also guess that since they no longer do the Football Firing line at The Railhead over in Grapevine/Colleyville (or do they still do it ??) that he has lost some of his audience?

I spoke to him a few times at The Railhead and he is one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. I also miss reading him in the Dallas Longhorn News.

I always remember him calling Quincy "Buffalo Tongue". That poor guy has totally reached the bottom of the barrell, Quincy that is. Anyone ever been around the area in Irving on Shady Grove where he was arrested? It isn't Valley Ranch !!
