Gambling shows?

Posted this on the Louisiana board, but figured afterward this would be a better place...

I've heard a show called Meat and Potatoes on WSLA in the afternoon. He talks about horseraces and other sports and promotes an online sportsbook. Isn't this kind of unauthorized gambling (probably offshore) illegal per the FCC? If so, how can they air this show all the time?

Nothing wrong with talking about horseraces, but an online sports book?

I don't think that will fly. Even assuming that it is legal in Louisiana.

Couting trouble with various friendly Federal folks, besides the FCC.

Don't know bout that.

Bob and Tom had BetOnSports.com as a sponsor for some time...on 160+ affiliates....

Premiere/CC might have screwed up, but I'm betting (no pun intended) that it was cleared by legal as OK to air.....

Unless he was RUNNING an online sports book (i.e., at the station or as part of the station website), I'm guessing it's probably okey-dokey with the boys in Washington.
