Game Show Network on Comcast

Lately I have been hearing radio ads for the Game Show Network on Comcast in the Boston area. Yet when I check my lineup on comcast I can't find it. Anyone know what's going on? Is it only on in a certain area? And does anyone else notice that ESPN Classic had been listed as Local Programming for sometime now?

GSN on Comcast (at least in my area) is only on 12 hours a day from noon until midnight. Then Comcast switches to some stupid all-infomercial channel, which pi**ses me off as I do not get a chance to watch the black & white classic game shows that GSN runs during the early morning hours.

GSN for the most part, ever since they re-branded themselves and pretty much went "interactive", is a bitter disappointment for me. When I saw them on C-band satellite as "The Game Show Network" in 1996 for the first time, it was EXCELLENT with some great old time game shows like "To Tell The Truth" (both B&W and color), "Sunday Night Black and White", "Password" and more. Today GSN is all pretty much "GSN Originals" with some game shows from the 80's and 90's thrown in. I am still glad that they run "Match Game 7X" on a regular basis.

On my Comcast system (Westfield, MA), GSN is on Channel 68 but the on-screen guide has always listed it as "Local Access". And yes, GSN airs on a limited basis with the balance of programming being infomercials.
