Gap Broadcasting buys in Louisiana again!

As reported by Radio and records, Dallas broadcaster Gap Broadcasting has bought out the APEX- Lake Charles cluster for $13 Mil.

Gap is a recently founded regional cluster mainly focusing on properties in Texas and Louisiana. Their first purchase was this year with the first station being KTIB Thibodaux.

Gap is purchasing:
KTSR-FM (Star 92.1) /De Quincy (A/C)
KJMH-FM (107.5- 107 Jamz)/Lake Arthur (Hip-Hop)
KLCL-AM (1470) /Lake Charles (sports)
KNGT-FM (99.5 Gator Country) /Lake Charles (country)
KJEF-AM (1290) /Jennings (beleive Cajun regional)
KHLA-FM (Oldies 92.9)/Jennings

along with a class A television station KJEF-CA (channel 13)/Jennings.(and If I remember the first TV station in Gap Broadcastings holdings) It is unknown the programming at this time. Last I knew they were relaying NBC affliate KPLC after their tower collapsed but apparently have gone back to locally produced material.)

KLCL 1470 and KJEF 1290 are simulcasting Cajun & Zydeco. They actually play pretty good music. I listen to them on occasion when driving between Houston and Lafayette.
