Gap Broadcasting in Lake Charles (formerly Apex)

On the web stream, KPLC-TV in Lake Charles was reporting Saturday that the studios for Gap Broadcasting in Lake Charles had rising water in their studios. Anybody have any news about this?

I remember during Rita, Apex was there doing a great job covering the community for weeks. A few blocks away, Cumulus evacuated. Two days after Rita the Cumulus stations that still had diesal were still automated music giving time checks that were seven hours off. Cumulus did not come back to Lake Charles for over a week while Apex and KPLC-TV were cooperating wall-to-wall.

I spoke with the GM, they had water right up to within a few inches of coming into their studios, but nothing inside. They did lose thier generator to flood waters and i believe three vehicles, as their parking lot is lower than the building. The waters apparently came in from the back and not from the lake front across the interstate. They were only off the air a day or two, until they got some generator power back.....

The back of their building is swamp, so it is easy for water to come up. During Rita the Waffle House up the street was closed by the health department because of all of the insects coming out of the flooded swamp.
