There are some radio listeners have a mysical, comfortable, intrinsic feeling....listening to Garner Miller that something really good is going to happen. Most often it doesn't. She is wonderfully sloppy doing all the "basics".... she, many times, can't convey a simple thought or announcement. But she makes you feel that sort of uncomfortable, yet fascinating feeling, that inspite of the fact she messes up, you might hear something totally off the wall and worth hanging around for. Like a secondary Saturday Night live player waitng to make her move. Garner is a good woman and working Mom...help her any way you can.

I have no idea what Steve's post means but the way he described Garner on the air made me think he was describing his time as the host of The All Request Lunch Hour.

G Money is out at FM100, and I will also be gone in (at the outside) two weeks.

Sorry to hear that. You have always been a class act. With your experience and reliability, you should hardly have time to pull out your car keys before someone else snaps you up.

Sorry to hear that, Rob. Blowing out PTers doesn't bode well.

I actually enjoyed Garner Miller. I heard her a few weeks ago have to stop mid-break to eat a PopTart. Odd, to be sure, but it sort-of worked.

All the details will be in my book. When I sell the movie rights, I'm going to see if they can cast Hurley from "Lost" to play my part.

Short answer is "it was time".

Tonight, I told my wife about this post, and the question posed to me by Elvez, and before I could tell her my answer, she said "it was time".
I truly doubt my passing from the scene will ever be fodder for discussion at a bunco party.
