Did Garry take a page from Don Wade's playbook with that lispy PETER SUCKWELL character voice or has Garry been doing these for a year or 30 ? LoL for the record I find the voices great.

Also I have noticed Garry calling Jim "Elton" Turano something like little Elton or little Jim and Jim "Elton" Turano calling Garry "Uncle Garry" and both of them talking about animal stories.
Reminiscent of Little Tom and Ole' Uncle Lar's names and animal stories.
 
I work midnights and sleep days, so I miss Garry's show. I wonder if the voice is anything like the old "Cliff Merther" (Mercer) voice
that he mimiced so well years ago?
 
The voice in question is indeed the Cliff voice from years past. Garry's been doing it recently during the intro segment of his program. GM's sidekick, Jim Turano (who's a huge Elton John fan), is generally referred to as Elton Jim on the air.
