What's up with Garry Meier? Sneed's column had a little piece on him last week saying that
he is "thisclose" to getting back on the air. Is it local or XM/Sirius? Hmmmmmm?

Anyone think WCKG and Steve Dahl can talk him into a return with his old partner? What a boost that would be for a struggling station. I'm probobly dreaming...

...Meier has had it with playing second fiddle with a "partner." Dahl's ego won't allow him to consider a full ongoing partnership with ANYBODY. Ain't gonna happen...

I'm thinking that perhaps Garry might be apart of the new morning show on Q101? Or, I wonder if WGN might be interested in him. He could team up with Steve Cochran and be Cochran and Meier, not Steve and Garry II! Lol! Perhaps, he could wind up at WZZN under the new ownership where Kevin Matthews has a lot of klout! I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Kevin Mathews has absolutey no clout with Grand Rapids Citadel Management, despite all the talk. [EDIT]. His title is nothing more than a title... no authority at all. The local Citadel GM in Grand Rapids is a non radio former AOL guy who understands nothing about programing but thinks he does. All their stations in GR are tanking big time. Don't count on Kevin to do anything except talk.

[EDIT-indecent language]

Garry should be realistic. Playing second fiddle is what he does best, and there's a pile of money to be made doing it. He can't carry a show by himself.

Garry's ego -- and his wife's bad advice -- have caused him to throw away millions.
