Has anyone heard of any possible future plans? Loved the last show on WCKG. Hard to believe that two of the contributors to the show, Randy Salerno and Terry (half of Stan & Terry) are no longer with us. He had a great supporting cast and the daypart was perfect for what he did. Just curious. I miss him.

I wish he had his own web site or blog, so we could keep up with him. I was thinking that if the folks at 9FM were smart, they would pic him up for morning drive, as direct competition with Jack FM and Steve.

His wife turned down 1.2 million a year for five years from ABC, remember?
What do you think 9FM would pay him? It's not that no one wants him.
It's that he wants too much.

I remember last year, his first show on CKG was the same day as the opening of the baseball season. While that obviously won't happen by Monday, wouldn't it be great if he could still land something this April? Although he may be asking for too much, I think that if he could come to an agreement with CBS, then he'll come to an agreement with someone else.

Garry did a great job on WCKG. With the format change of the station and the current state of radio, there aren't always good opportunities available for somebody of his caliber. As much as I miss his show, I would rather that he be off of the air for awhile and wait until there is an opening on the right station and daypart so that he can showcase his talent and give his listeners the best possible show.

Dick- I thought I would be clicking on an agents site. Someone who in your opinion could better represent Garry. But lo and behold it is a site for literally turning crap into something useable. Which is exactly the opposite of what happens in radio. Thanks. Interesting.

Sorry, Jay.

I am just another guy with an opinion who is also engaged in shameless self promotion. I post links to that site everywhere I go.

Hmmm. Perhaps I should hire Garry Meier's wife. At least I can say that she is NOT emotionally involved with me.
