Gary Bryans "rewind" show on KRTH. where will it go? ??

Just wondering are they gonna move Rewind with Gary Bryan to Sunday mornings and replace the long running Beatles show? Or will they move it to Saturday mornings? Or just cancel the show? That being CBS Radio. If Scott Shannons show gets placed Sunday nights on KRTH. Does anyone know yet?

1. It doesn't matter, because weekends contribute the least to the ratings.
2. It doesn't matter, because syndicated programs don't own their time slots.
3. It doesn't matter, because the handful of listeners who are actual fans of the show will find it if it moves.
4. It doesn't matter, because there is too damn much speculation about KRTH going on here.

K.M. I would listen. I know weekends don't matter. But take in mind you want to have a nice flow and vibe to the station. To me if KRTH goes younger. I would add Retro mix to Saturday nights. Playing all 80's. To me this makes sense. And kick out the Beatles Sunday mornings and replace it with Rewind with Gary bryan.

I would add Retro mix to Saturday nights.

Why does everyone think mixshows are the magic answer to every programming situation?

Word to the wise: They aren't, and they contribute practically nothing to audience numbers.

Here's what we have learned: They're good for the short term. But the audience tires of them quickly.

OK guys
How would you program KRTH on the weekends then, to skew a younger audience? Hire daytime weekend jocks? And do syndicate mornings and nights? Just hire fresh djs with little experience?. Hire well known dj's?. But pay them a beginners salary. Or just run jock less like Jack FM? Or freshen up the play list every 2 weeks to stay current with listeners needs?

I think I'd keep the existing syndicated programming where it is, and put the new syndicated Scott Shannon programming on Sunday nights. Do a Saturday night edition of the Friday night all-80s, just as Star did back in the late 1990s. Keep Charlie Tuna as the one live air talent Saturday mornings and Sunday middays. Pay Jim Carson and Shotgun Tom Kelly a little extra to do voicetracked versions of their weekday shifts on Saturday and Christina Kelley to voicetrack Sunday afternoons.

Well, you asked ... :)
