I have been in the Poconos the past two mornings and as such I wanted to listen to Gary in the Morning on Pocono 96.7. This would be my first chance since his return. Unfortunately, he has not been on. I heard the fill-in person say that Gary is on “special assignment”. Any idea where he is? I hope that he is not leaving already….

Gary in the Morning MIA

Was up in the Poconos with my kids and wife last week and was listening to the show all week. Was really liking, they brought on Dan the Engineer from the Internet show and they were really clicking. But I think something happened on last Fridays show that might have gotten them in trouble. No mention if Dans coming back, and my gut tells me Gary might have gotten suspended.
The show has a little edge to it considering the format, so not sure if a line was crossed. Would be ashame tho, since IMHO, this is by far the best morning show in the area. (Although it doesn't say much for the state of Morning Radio..) But they do genuinely funny stuff, where as FB & HW, B & K, Chuck & Joanne, and R & S, have been on air so long, they sound stale, like they are just collecting a paycheck..
Anyways, I'll be back in the area next week, I'll monitor and post updates.

I too didn't listen Friday, but based on the fact that no one on air is mentioning specifically where he is at, I assume he was suspended. Some of the things he mentioned on his show I found a little funny, but could also offend some people. I wonder what he said to get in trouble one month into his show (assuming that he is suspended and not on "special assignment")
I asked myself the same thing. There used to be a Ryan Knight at WNNJ/WHCY back in the mid 2000s. Glad that Gary will be back Monday.
