Gary McHenry and Daisy Ash

I noticed recently that Daisy Ash is doing traffic for Tampa AND Orlando stations in the mornings and afternoons. I've heard her on WMTX, WTKS, and WXXL. Wasn't sure what happened to Gary but then heard the tail end of a report he was on before 6 am on WMTX.

Has he taken a new schedule for some reason or is he covering for others? And is Daisy now doing traffic for all of Central Florida?

McHenry is doing traffic for Jacksonville's cluster. Been listening to 107.3 Jack FM (Formely Magic 107.3) on iHeartRadio and heard him do traffic reports. Doing traffic on all six stations in the cluster.

Bummer no local traffic anymore. Funny hearing these traffic folks mispronounce road names. The Orlando and Jax locals know it's rigged.......

I had heard him and Daisy doing traffic for Jax when I was up there last year so they've been doing it for a while although for how long, I cannot say

I did hear Gary on WFLA while Daisy is on WMTX. On FLZ, what used to be done by Gary is now done by a member of the morning crew.

In terms of local personalities, I don't know where Daisy resides now but I remember Nancy Alexander saying she used to be able to see Daisy in the same building in Tampa when Nancy was still on mornings.

CC has been running statewide traffic out of Tampa for some time. I'm not completely sure it that includes Miami or not. I could be just all the other smaller markets they're in.

As of a few years ago, Tampa was handling Mobile, (Alabama), Pensacola, Ft. Walton Beach, Panama City, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers. They may have added some since then.

Now wait just a cotton pickin moment. There's traffic in Tallahassee, Dothan, Panama City and Ft. Walton Beach???

What next, Super Targets?

Except the Sirius XM traffic reports for Miami, including Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Florida Keys, are done in the NYC office, which is actually in New Jersey.

Is it still on Morris Ave, or Rt22, in Union?

Even though Total Traffic is doing what they do, I still MISS the Metro Traffic feeds out of the TIA office area. Back when you had to dial in on the Marty or ISDN and listen to the report when the jock threw it to you and actually kibitzed with ya a bit. But, days of old are gone now!

I miss traffic reports that had helicopter noise in the background
