Gary Trust Mornings on WMVY

I heard a version of Back Door Santa on MVY this evening but the signal started fading before I could figure out who was singing it. I think it was BB King, but went to the station's website to check it out on their playlist. I didn't find it, but saw that Gary Trust is now doing mornings. Is he still doing the Saturday night 80s show on Coast? Either way, great move to a great station & I think Gary's style will fit in well.

If you're still looking for the song, it's "Back Door Santa" by B.B. King and John Popper (of Blues Traveler), on the album "A Very Special Christmas 5".

And if you're looking for Gary it looks like he's off the Coast website. He was no longer on as the overnighter but there was mention of the totally 80s Saturday night but that's gone too. I don't know where it was on the site but it's nowhere to be found now. R&R still has him as music director though.

...And out the door at Clear Channel. It IS a great move for Gary, and a good fit. Trust is very talented in many areas, and he'll bring all that to the table at his new station on the Vineyard. I'd expect him to move up as situations permit. Meanwhile, the Gettoplex doesn't yet realize how much they'll miss all that Gary was doing. It's another talent gone from Providence.

Will CC name a new creative copywriter? If not, who handles commercial writing? Salespeople? Doug Palmieri?? What about the importance that company has placed on commercial creative this past year? Maybe DePetro will just do everything live when he returns. (oops! shhhhhhhhh)

Good for Gary. Gary was my first GM, at the legendary 1000 milliwatt tower of power known as WTBU at Boston University. Congrats!<P ID="signature">______________

Totally 80's is still on the website with his name. There really would be nothing to prevent him from doing that show even though he's at MVY. BTW looks to me like both Gary and MVY made a good choice.
