Gates Vanguard 2 manual wanted.

We used a complete Gates package in the studio (wish I had that Sta-Level) and xmtr plant at WJJZ in Mt. Holly, NJ. The main was a BC-5P2S (Solid State Power Supply option) into a 4 tower array phasor. The backup was a Vanguard II. It was the sweetest sound thing, just putting into the air exactly whatever came out of the studio. All you needed was a radio with an IF section able to pass it! But in the car, it was head and shoulders above everyone with an EQ ahead of it. No NRSC mask then.

Be sure your search is under Vanguard II and NOT 2 (using Roman Numerals). Good luck.

Mine is the same, stem to stern Gates in 1965 with BC5p2, and phasor and all the associated gear and studios. (Still have some hollow state rectifiers around) A lot of it has gone, but the phasor and this Vanguard 2 aux remain. I've searched far and wide for a manual to no avail. I do have schematic, and that helps a lot. Mainly looking for the specs on the exciter, which is dead, and the input network to the tube.

Several have responded "Don't bother with it!" I probably won't, but it is the only aux I have.
