Gator 107.9 Johnny Retires

Johnny Walker who did the 3 - 7 shift on Gator retired from radio last week. Im surprised no one posted about this. He was in radio for 30 years.

It will be hard to replace him. Im a surprised Gator isn't moving Jeff up from the 7 - 12 shift. They instead have a new guy called Big Nick taking Johnny Walker's old spot.

Jeff has a full time job as a police officer and cannot cover the shift live. Qantum felt that it was important to have someone live in studio and not to voice track the shift.

I had the pleasure of working with Johnny for a bit over a year and he was fun to be around in the studios along the bypass. Helluva jock and an even better person. Good luck, my friend!!!!
