I do not want Dixie!!! What is your guys promblems? Are you all sick or something?

Gator Country is going to kick Rooster Country in the butt. Also you all say they do not have national advertising? What the heck are you talking about. I have heard Winn-Dixie, Home Depot, and TNT Fireworks plus more. It appears to me that you all do not listnen as well a I thought. Then you all think they are not drawing listners away from the other two stations? What are you all thinking. Heck my next door neighbor (who I hate) use to listen to Rooster but now has it own Gator Country.

Also did you even realize that Gator Country, Lite and Kool helped CBS 47 sponsor the annual blood drive "United We Care." I do not see CC or Cox helping sponsor community events like that. Shame on you all that you think Gator Country is a lame duck waiting to be killed. I will be laughing in your face the day that Rooster flips formats! That will be funny huh?

CC is going to get its own dose of cough syurp when Gator finally shows them who can rule in the ratings war. Also the Arbrittons will be off for the next couple of rating periods as they now have to adjust having Gator Country in Jax and not in Daytona.

I have heard Winn-Dixie, Home Depot, and TNT Fireworks plus more.

From all my years selling radio, the advertisers heard on Gator and KOOl are nothing more than bonus freebies or are because of dirt-cheap rates. Smaller advertisers will buy cheap rates, but agencies or national only buy stations with ratings. And depending on the market, client or economy agencies buy 3 to 5 of the top dogs and the remaining bottom feeders fight over the scraps.

I'm sure listeners will find Gator and KOOL, but it won't be an overnight success. Renda must buy billboards, TV and direct mail to educate the market. If Renda is so stupid to think listeners will just tune in, it is going to be a slow hard climb up hill taking 2 or 3 years for these stations to finally catch on and generate cash. Radio is all about MONEY.

And don’t forget boys and girls 94.1 will also be moved to Jacksonville. do I hear any guesses on that format.

Heck rather than fill holes why not take on Clear Channel again with Hot AC!

WGNE will kick WROO butt in 6 months. Actually WGNE's goal is WQIK not Rooster. Renda did it in Ft. Myers and will probably do it here.

c'mon, cat- drop the "idiot" stuff.

Secondly, they're "cheaper" than WQIK because they're (literally) giving it away just to get the business on the air. Betcha anything there are some spots on Gator going for $10 a shot, which is shameful and it happens all the time with move-in/start-up situations.

CC will not allow either of it's country stations to be beaten- bank on it, especially not the way Renda seems to put new stations on the air.

Cheap rates ($10.00) sure seem like a good deal, but to bill a just few thousand dollars you have to run 10 times faster just to stay in last place. Hello been their done that!

It’s faster and easier to bill thousands when you have ratings! Agencies and national will gladly pay $500.00 + for each spot, because they buy ratings and wont take a chance on a station with a .07

I am sure agencies in market 49 are frantically canceling from ROOSTER or WQIK to book time on a station with a .07. Nevertheless, mom + pops love to pay $10.00. Then it’s a long slow ride upping their rates to $25.00. Even then, you’re still running 10 times faster just to stay in last place.

Running 99 minute music sweeps eats up all that inventory for paying clients. Their positioning is more music and less talk, which works great when you don’t have any advertisers. Or when you’re # 1 and getting $500.00 a spot.

Gator in Ft Myers kicks butt, so maybe Clear Channel is extra stupid in that market.
But then again, Clear Channel eats Renda with their cluster, because the rest of Renda’s stations really suck.
