Gator Country

Hey mburg. You sound like one of those people I hope I never have to work with. If you like the name the station contest, you must be in a small market. Because that contest is small market radio.

And just to set it straight, according to folks who work there, it was CC and not UF. Guess CC is a little upset that they arent the only game in town anymore huh?
Edited by FakeUsernameHere on 07/19/05 08:32 PM.

Hey I was just guessing where the source might have come from. I know UF sometimes make stinks about certain things but this is not one. As for CC I never thought they could pull such a big stink like this and yet CC has no reason to stop Renda. They do not even own the rights to a Gator Country name. They are just a bunch of lame folks over at CC who will try to do anything they want and get anything they want.

New name now: 99.9 The Gator....Who ever said this that they should go to, good job for mentioning it because they are using it now.

Upset? Heck no- they're playing mind games with Renda. LOVE IT! Playin' head games with the new station- now THAT is what competitive radio is all about.

See above post. This is what big-time radio is all about-- the incumbent does anything and everything to make the new guy's life hell. You do what you can to take their eye off the ball. How Renda responds will say a lot about the fiber of their people.

CC has broadcast rights for UF football and basketball. Is this the connection?

Maybe, at this point, they should just change the name to "The CROCK"! It may be more appropriate!
