Gator Country

Just curious. Did Gator pull more women in during the latest book? If so, you can thank Dixie in the morning.

Against all the negative press with each ratings book 99.9 Gator continues to increase in audience size, and that's a good sign. Is it going to be # 1 overnight? Nope. But slowly and surely modest increases in cume & aqh are being taken away from the competition.

During the last book Gator leaned towards men, but seeing how the station is new I would expect to see some ratings anomalies that don’t really mean much.

Re: Gator Country and what they can gain

Well think about it for a moment leaning towards men. If they have Dixie who use to be at Rooster Country 107, which is the mens country station, but is now starting to loose ground and with WQIK having been the women station, their could be for equal on both sides here which would be a win-win for Gator. Just think about it for a second, Gator has great gains that will happen for them coming in the next several months that they could capitalize on and I would expect them to since they have one of the best program directors around in our area. Here they could gain on what ever happens with the ACC (American Country Countdown) since Bob Kingsley is being pushed out and Kix Brooks taking over. Now here is the thing. Say if Kingsley signs with Premire Radio Networks (owned by CC) I could see WQIK bumping off ACC which has been a feature of WQIK for years. Now if that happens Gator could take the ACC and really run with some ratings for the weekend. And in the same fact they could keep Crook & Chase. Now also think about the programs that they could pickup if Rooster hits the chopping block. Tell me what you think
