Well for a station that has only been on the air for a couple of months and done no marketing the free conert they haeld Saturday was apparently a huge sucess. Rumor has it the crowd was estimated to be over 2,000 people. Also it looks like the Temporary Restraining Order was lifted since the station used Gator Country signage. I wonder when they will start saying it on air.

To top that WROO had a big annoucemeny on Friday that they were bringing PHil Vasser to Jax for a free show in late September. WGNE will have had 4 free show by then.

Also today WGNE started giving away tickets before you can buy them to the Trisha Yearwood show in September. Looks like WGNE is getting agressive.

You are right about The Gator Getting aggressive. On The signage did it say Gator Country or just Gator? WROO is to late trying to do a free concert. Gator will have the four in before he even shows up and I am sure those 2,000 people showed will tell their friends to make the switch and when they do WROO will just be pie in the sky! Rooster is already burnt toast. We are just wating for the flip, right?

Hey those tickets to the Trisha Yearwood concert? Renda has to have the big connections to get them that way early and to give them away. It seems to me Jeff Davis knows what he is doing. Hey today the book for spring comes out. I guess will have to take shots just to see where the stations will fall at.

Damn and I was waiting for you to bust our little ballon. LOL

Now I can't wait to see some numbers for WKQL. Hopefully some people will be eating crow, hopefully not me!

Kool-Gator

Early returns: WKQL remains at the same number they had in the May trend;
WGNE actually had a respectable June (12+) but their adult number is #19 in the market. WROO had a lousy June, so we'll see if that's a curiosity abberation (with WGNE) or cause and effect. As I've said before, it takes time for all of this to shake out.

WQIK remains a strong #1 (up a little), Eagle remains hot.
