Gavin Really needs to move to a smaller market

I think his inexperience is detrimental to the growth of the stations he oversees. I do not beleive that he is able to really program anything, anything he has control over falls to pieces. His appearances on RMS are all about his ego, and his schtick is played out.
 
The fake "I'm so upset w/ you Russ!" schtick is old and lame.
His obsession with the Stars is lame. Just because you move to a new town does not mean you have to become obsessed with the local sports teams. If you didn't like them before you moved here, why the sudden interest?
He wants to be Billy Bad Ass and push a show around. He can't do that with Russ or Jagger becuase they have clout. So, he made the P&K show his show-and it sucked. BDH better watch out-Gavin will be all into his show before you can say "Motocross driver interview". Before you know it, BDH will only be interviewing Ice Hockey Players, Funny Car drivers, and players from the Frisco Rough Riders, and his show will be 60% commercials. Way to go Gavin. You suck.
 
A few years ago he was the up and coming program director for CBS that everyone had their eye on.

It is clear now the emperor has no clothing and he is not a good program director, at least not for talk radio. It is hard to point to any good moves or decisons he has made since he has been in charge of programming 105.3
 
When Gavin first came to the station Howard Stern was on in the mornings, P & K middays and Russ in the afternoons. The only thing he did was bring Leykis back in the evenings. I think the station has been on a downward spiral since Howard left. Russ has always had good ratings but he can't maintain the station on his own. I still say Gavin has spent too much time on air instead of doing his job and that's the reason the station is in the mess it is in.
 
And how about putting Cheaters on the radio...the show were most of the words are beeped out. Wow how smart is that?
 
Spittle has alot on his plate right now (The End of P&K, Russ's Arrest, Loss of respectability at KRLD, ect..), methinks that CBS maybe looking to cut ties with this guy...
 
Gavin has done what would get the rest of us fired. I am aware he is not responsible for RM behavior,but his entire mis management starting back w/the P&K show. No mid day show just filler.....RM is done and Gavin has done nothing. I agree w/some of the other threads,BDH would be better than nothing all day. Gavin has totally lost control of the situation,hence David Henry making all public comments :mad:
 
Well... David IS the station manager. Gavin is the PD and there are no programs to direct. Jagger is self suffient and BDH is just rambling. On the way home I flipped it on for a second for the repaly of idiot Gavin's Salvia trip. What a waste. Flip it! :-*
 
The "abuse" of Gavin has gone on for the past five years. It was the same pranks and typical arguments day after day. I would turn off the show, then a month later, similar pranks and arguments were still going on. It was like Gavin just loved having the attention. Why is that, I wonder?
 
he wasnt popular in school and he is trying to make up for it. :) Seriously though, he has done a horrible job. I guess thats what happens when no one is in charge?

Gavin has always been the one to talk to the media before. I think it's very telling that no one is hearing from Gavin now.
 
So the Live 8 Ticketstock/Summerbash round table is going to be just another Jagger Show/BDH mix? Can't wait for that. Good riddens to the whole freakin station, they suck!!!
 
yeah,I would be suprised if they didnt cancel Live 8. Whose going to be there? I imagine alot of listeners wont attend and we are down to BDH and Jagger. Mondo lost me w/all his jabs at P&K. What was that about anyway?

Oh WOW! If that's all it takes to get a PD job in Market #5 radio, I'm gonna put that info on my resumé. ;D ;)
