I'm consolidating my studio and I wanted to give my VO brethren a shot on these before I go to ebay:

Symetrix 528e - $300 ($499 new)
A solid piece with nice pre-amp, compressor/limiter, 3-band EQ, de-esser, and expander/gate. This unit was rarely used and is about 2 years old.

dbx 286a - $150 ($209 new)
This was my go-to box. Classic dbx sound with nice pre-amp, compressor/limiter, de-esser, expander/gate, and EQ. A great box for the money.
