Proof that he worked at KRBV:

Audio Vault...I haven't heard it mess up lately but when I worked there (KRBV/WILD) it messed up constantly...

About Kurt Johnson.... .

BOY are you right!! He's used people right in front of my eyes when they were needed and when it didn't have a profit for him anymore...he threw them out like yesterday's garbage...

Talking about the best and worst in radio for the year...

WORST:
-Fitz got let go from Infinity and Wild (and no matter what
ANY of you think...you have no idea as to the reasons why)...bet you
guys and gals didn't know that while Bridgeman was still at
CC in Dallas Fitz was offered Kraddick's job...too bad
Kraddick got wind and had Bridgeman fired...(that's
OK...Karma is working)

-Kidd Kraddick remains on the air and makes women in the
ages of 18-34 want to stab themselves in the eye (the pain
would be less than listening to HIS show) on the way to
work.

PS-for all of you who will get on and think that this is
Fitz....it's not...just a fellow radio person and big
fan...sadly though I work for CC Dallas

Wow, great cover, Fitz.

Discussing Billy The Kidd...his former co-worker who hated him at KRBV:

So even while Brenda was at Clear Channel dumping all money into KHKS...the night numbers continue to be in the crapper. Looking at the latest breakdowns, Domino is kicking the crap outta Billy on a small signal station!!! Absolutely ridiculous but GREAT for Domino!! KHKS is even doing this "Free Money Fugitive"...no numbers to show for it?? Billy's show is the same every night...the "Hot Girl Check in" and then "Ben the Virgin" calling in. Is this really what it has become?? With this talent on in the market I'd rather listen to my XM...

His relentless obsession with Kidd Kraddick...

He was offered Kraddick's job...do you know of anyone else who has gotten an offer like that?? He sounded GREAT on the Wolf. And he has the energy that the station needs. Maybe Cook realizes what the station USED to be and is trying to get it back. A station that is formatted like a TOP 40 but plays country music. You may not like the guy (FITZ) but all of you who deny his talent are just jealous. You can't deny his on air work...he's one of the best young people in the industry...

Deflecting blame for another bad Wolf book:
You know...It's really funny how you think a part timer has THAT much influence on a radio station. Fitz has nothing to do with the ratings going down. I think it's funny how so many of you talk bad about Fitz but quote things in his career which means you have been following it for quite some time.

Someone explain to me why I'm supposed to give a damn that Fitz is on here using a made up name.

You're not. It's just an explanation of Fitz's often used, abused routine of heaping praise on himself "incognito".

Because it is a first ...

Brownnosing yourself.

Re: Why Fitz is still Fitz

I'll try to explain it. First, some of us get a laugh out of seeing what ends a Top 40 station will go to to salvage a dying format. The format's only as strong as the available music, so a LOT of pressure is put on the jocks to make the thing continue working. By the time you subtract rap and Michael Buble from the pool of new music, you have a few Maroon 5 songs and Ashlee Simpson left. Not much to build a station on. Remember how quickly Young Country died when Clint and Garth quit putting out albums every 6 months.

Next, Fitz has ALWAYS been the board's whipping boy. We've fought and argued with the small-but-determined group of Fitz lovers, had them threaten to bust up a Happy Hour gathering of board posters one time, and see them pop up in Fitz's defense more often than Karl Rove jumps to the prez's side. The overall consensus, which I think most of us basically agreed upon long ago (when Fitz WAS news,) was that he's just plain goofy, he's underqualified (KNIN-Wichita Falls before hiring on at Wild,) he was WAY over-rated, he worked for the worst station in town and did nothing to boost its ratings, he displaced the likable JB and Sandy at Wild, and he spent more time than even Russ Martin trying to defend his place in DFW radio. He also sealed his fate by doing stupid stunts like staging a fake power outage right after the one on the East Coast a couple of years ago. He's since showed his inability to keep any momentum going by disappearing after Wild fired him, then turning up in a part-time, overnight gig thereafter. Anyone else would have fired up a new resume and tape, and sent it to every major market CHR station in the US (or perhaps he did.) He went from lukewarm-to-cold so quickly, and obviously nobody around here wants him for a FT drivetime position. No energy, nothing to say worth hearing, an inability to establish listenership or loyalty, a weak gimmick, too much innocence and inexperience in the world, and no finesse or class. Kevin McCarthy was about Fitz's age when he started, and the difference is light-years apart.

Replacing Kraddick? I don't happen to listen nor care anything about Kraddick, but he has proven his value and paid his dues along the way. Even Kraddick hasn't realized the potential he SHOULD have by now. The only scenario I could imagine Fitz replacing Kraddick would have been if Kraddick moved to KDMX or KVIL (as rumored once,) and Kiss needed someone quickly to take over the morning show. But, I can guarantee you that, in time, the ratings wouldn't have been there, Fitz would have resorted to another last-desperate attempt of crappy gimmicks and far-flung stupidity to get attention, and would have been fired in less than a year.

Now, so this doesn't only sound like hate mail (I know, I know, "Where is the love?"), I haven't listened to Fitz since he went to KSCS or KPLX, whichever it is. Perhaps he's gained that much-needed experience elsewhere, or has since been humbled into being on a level with his listeners, I don't know. That's for someone else to evaluate.

Although it is HIGHLY unlikely......IF Fitz was offered Kraddick's job by Bridgeman, then Bridgeman was writing checks his body couldn't cash. It
would never have been approved by management or anyone in San Antonio.
Clear Channel NEVER had any intention of losing Kraddick.

It was a known fact that CC had been desperately trying to get
Kraddick to re-sign his contract in 2003. Brenda was brought on board to get Kidd to re-sign - end of story. Bridgeman was one of the first she let go and if he did offer Kraddick's job to anyone that would have a lot to do with it.
