Geez, My TV doesn't even show up behind "i" which got...

...just 710,000 viewers (according to AP). But hey, at least "i" showed up. Why doesn't Fox TV just switch their My TV affiliates to "i" or just make deal to carry them? Seems like a better (and cheap?) solution, especially in Boston where this an "i" but no MyTV...

Anyone want to take a stab at this? Why is such an obvious solution also such an anomoly? And why doesn't "i" try to make a play current MyTV affiliates? I don't get that either... So many missed opportunities here... (sigh).

Meanwhile (according to AP), CW got 3 million viewers.

For one thing, My Network TV ratings are reported differently than the other networks. It's probably getting around the same rating as "i" from what I've read - and maybe even higher. The last numbers I saw had My Network getting somewhere around 800,000 to 950,000 viewers on average.

My Network was created with very favorable terms for affiliates on advertising time. The fact that Fox backs My Network also makes it more attractive than "i" which is backed by.. Paxon.. or ion.. or whatever they're called these days.

Reported differently? How?
Explain what you mean? If their ratings don't show up among the other networks, what good are they to begin with?

I'm fuzzy on the details, but I think Nielsen counts My Network as a syndication service. At the very least, MyNet does not get the fast overnight ratings like the real networks.

That's basically it. Since My Network is selling ads based on a 5 night average (and a seperate rate for the saturday shows) Nielsen only shows a rating that's an average of the Mon-Fri showings of each program. This is not put in the regular weekly prime time ratings. It's put in some other report that's similar to what the syndicators get. The saturday recap shows are the only ones that are put in the regular weekly ratings from what I understand.

Hence why MyNetworkTV has a 0.1 ratings as of late... ::)

But the ratings are still low. Obviously, not even Tatum O'Neal(MNTV's biggest star to date) and oh so renowned DYNASTY star Catherine Oxenberg are pulling in the ratings.
