Is Mike Horvath going to get his Radio station on in Geistown Pa? 1350 with 1500 watts day 890 watts Night. He worked with the WAVL/WMNY Trade to get 1350. The CP expires on 8/30/10.

On the FCC website It States Permit Canceled, All that time and Money Wasted, Too bad Mike did not put the Money into WZUM. He had Plans To Incress Power to 5kw Move the Transmitter Site and go Full Time, With as he told me" A Signal like KQV's Fulltime"

I presume that the 1350 Geistown permit hinged on the 910 Apollo/1360 McKeesport switch that did
not happen.

WZUM probably could raise daytime power, but with WAKR so close on the same frequency, it would
have been interesting to see what could have been done with the nighttime signal.

No, Mike Horvat Worked with his Son Jason ,Who Helped put together the CP for the 910/1360 Trade, as 1360 would have moved closer to Geistown. The CP for 1350 was modifed for that Reason. With the 1360/910 Trade Dropped the 1350 Geistown Signal would have been Improved.

It would not pay for Mike to build that station in such a dead market, regardless of whether the swap was approved or not.

You've got FMs in Johnstown that are having a tough enough time as is.

Well, I guess they would not let you move a full-power television station out of a market that was
showing any signs of growth potential.
