I heard the same promo yesterday (on WHLO via cross-promotion). I think you might be on to something.
 
But wouldn't promos run on 101.7, too? (I'm sorry, I'm too far away from 101.7 to listen if they ARE airing the same spots.)

If they are, my bad.
 
WKDD needs to freshen up their programming. Gen X wouldn't be a bad idea. Outside of their morning show, the station is voicetracked and syndicated all the time. Q104, Mix 94.1, 96.5 KISS FM and Q92 are way better in terms of personalities, imaging and music.

The 90's themed programming is the only thing that is really good about WKDD. Q104 doesn't seem to do much with the 90's anymore.

The cryptic promos must be running on all CC stations. It is regarding iHeartRadio. It's mentioned on all of the stations and iHeartRadio Facebook and Twitter pages.
 
My God, the 90s had some of the worst music in human history.
 
Has to do with the iheartradio announcement Monday. WMJI running promos as well. A VO buddy of mine does a number of CC stations and said he's been cutting stuff like crazy since Thursday. But, even he wouldn't tell me.

Seacrest allegedly doing the big announce... I guess it would be 615 PST? Dunno.

Acts that alienate the now again popular classic hits format like WMJI who is running Vegas Workday Getaway promos, a different take from the national promo.

This promo is lasting until mid-September? Good Lord.

At least WMJI had the ability to spin the promotion in a way that doesn't insult the format (and talk/sports WTAM to a lesser extent), but this could get old pretty quick.
