I filed early this morning, an application to trademark the name "Gen X Radio". While Clear Channel submitted an application on 8/20/09, my prior use of the name dates back to 12/31/08. I have been broadcasting through the Live365 server since the, using the name "Gen X Radio". I have used logos, graphics, and radio imaging that all predates the application and use by Clear Channel. I have a clear dominant presence in the search engines and social media sites as well. My wife and I also purchased the domain name genxradio.org on Aug 13th, and will be publishing a blog there to promote and market the station in the coming days. It is my full intention to submit a cease and desist letter to Clear Channel by the end of business today by e-mail, and then subsequently by certified mail.
