I've got a quesiton about the only remaining ABC soap General Hospital (1963-present).
Like many soaps over the years when old episodes have been wiped/erased and mostly exist only in 16mm Kinescope format. Do you think that the pre-1978 episodes of GH (especially on the color mastertapes not 16mm B&W Kinescopes from fall 1967-spring 1975 when they had the opening/closing visuals with the GH titles in white Clarendon Condensed Bold typeface in blue background, the B&W pre-1967 version in black background with Kip Walton's GH piano theme in the key of Eb, and Ed Chandler announcing for the show) during the days of 30 minutes and later 45 minutes are Extremely rare to find? Do you remember the GH open/closing titles in blue background from 1967-75?
To tell you the truth, we don't know the actual airdate of the first airing of GH in Color. If ABC didn't wiped the videotapes, we would know the true date IMHO.
