Okay, it's been a few days now. Here's my take.
Nice job by everyone at Forever, aided by a smidgeon of good fortune. Froggy is exactly where to were last Spring (to the decimal point), and Bus is right in their normal Spring range. As the only Country FM and only Classic Rocker, you'd expect 'em to be rock solid and they are. Gotta give Quick credit, with a gold star to the exec who picked Bob & Tom for mornings. If Lite's spike had come in 35-54 instead of 18-34 it might be easier to get behind their jump--with a black star to the exec who picked Bob & Sherri for mornings (their only down daypart). 3WZ was probably due for a down book, and they got it; looks like their older listeners finally drifted off. Target demos look solid, though.
Hot debuted a share and a half ahead of the old Hot, but 3 shares below the Hot/Beaver combo. However, they successfully gobbled up huge chunks of cume, so watch out--they're poised to score big, if they can turn that cume into share. More importantly, they hit their target demos. WGMR... uh, not so much. But a little up, so that's not bad. Maybe starting over in July was a good idea, after all.
Chris & Jim showed some spark for Buzz, but I'm still waiting for the downtown booster before passing serious judgment. Oldies is dying a spectacular death everywhere else, so WOWY deserves some extra credit for bucking the trend!
