GENERIC DROPS

I'm looking for a source for drops like "weekend weather", etc...anything I can use on my show to add a more "radio" sound..i have a really good personal jingle package, as well as lots of voicers from WLS, WABC, KCBQ..etc..but need generic jingles like "more hits more often", "number 1", "top ten countdown"..sure you get the idea..i can edit my own stuff in..anybody know of a site that has something like this?? also i would like to find a site that has classic commercials from the 60's and 70's..i have snagged a few hundred off retro sites, and youtube ..but always looking to add to the library..thanks...chuck lundi

They're no longer available from Ken R, but his "Promo Bank" and "Power-Pellas" CDs are full of that sort of stuff, most of which was cherry-picked from the PAMS archives. I have most of them and they're great.

Careful using audio from other stations as it was licensed for their use on those particular stations. Even if the VO talent is saying your name they were paid by the station for use on that station only. Even if your show is 'net only, there still can be issues related to using audio from other sources.

duly noted..but i run a disclaimer at the bottom of the hour saying "not affiliated with any radio station, sponsor, or event heard"..i know probably not legal enough..along with "all content is for historical and entertainment purposes only"...and mentions the show is a "non profit" entity and does "not accept or solicit" funding of any type..sure sounds legalistic when it runs....and since i have my personal jingle collection now up to over 40..i seldom use the "real ones"..thanks...cl

TMStudios use to have two double-CD sets of generic shouts called "Shouts" and "Shout Louder" - I couldn't find it on their site but I would bet they still have them. The last time I saw them they went for $99 for each two disc volumes.

They're pretty good except the licensor, Dan O'Day, doesn't permit their use online so if your station streams you'll not be able to use them. It's noted on the CD jewel case as "local use only"

You only have to ask. I did and I have them "licensed" for online use. He was cool with that.

thanks for all the tips guys i do appreciate it..NOW..anyone have or know of a source where i can get year shout outs as "1963" '1964" ? or something similar that mentions the year..etc..i'd like to have a set from say 1963 through 1973...thanks again..cl

So does he do this on an individual basis? I know he said I could use a set of his material on my web stream, which I never did as I decided to abandon webcasting a couple of months later. Was it any more expensive to license it for online use?

JAM has a set of 5 discs with generic acapellas, shouts and sonovox. I wanted to buy them but I am still saving up my pennies for them.
