News Director Shayna Lance tells all that GENESIS will convert AM1470 to a Spanish format
first quarter "09", once FCC approves sale of AM820 from Mega. Hence, the appointment of Luis Albertini
as VP/GM WWBA, in advance of the format change of 1470. Genesis contines to move forward with the
tower movement of AM1470 to Brandon from Dunedin. Look for Shayna to deny all as "Pat / 1470"
on Boards. ::)

What information do you have that says 1470 is moving to Brandon from Dunedin? That's going to be quite a feat to get done, and besides, there has been no CP filed for such a move.

Please leave me out of your ‘sewing circle.’ I don’t know why you’ve chosen my name to give your rumors credibility – but it’s cruel.

Obviously I don’t know who you are (hiding behind a fake name) but I’m willing to bet a dollar you are no friend of mine, and that we’ve likely never spoken. No one I know would use someone else’s good name to spread bad gossip on a website.

I am not ‘Pat at 1470’…oddly enough, I suspect ‘Pat at 1470’ is a gentleman named ‘Pat’ who works at 1470.

It’s clear I’ve said nothing like these rumors to anyone in, or out of this station (since I don’t know them to be true or not.) So either you are making up these rumors or hearing them elsewhere – regardless, attributing them to me is a downright rotten thing to do.

Look: I work very, very hard then I go home. I don’t have the inside pulse on anything except my newscasts. I will not post here again, but:

True gentlemen are not ashamed to use their real names. True gentlemen do not spread gossip. True gentlemen are kind, empathetic and try to make the world a better place. May I suggest you turn off your computers, go hug your children and be grateful for the day.

Shayna, I personally love your news delivery style. You and Roger compliment each other with the wit. There used to be a news guy over at 970 that also had that wit. I think he is a cop over the east coast now. Burnette? Not sure that is the right name, but he had that same way of doing the news that you and Roger have. I was so happy to see you come back to WWBA a few weeks ago... I wonder if this rumor came from the same source that said CC's 95.7 was going to flip to spanish a few weeks ago...

Yes, you are thinking of Bill Burnett. He was a personal friend of mine and one heck of a great news reader. Top shelf, all the way.
 
Liverlips you are a piece of work. I wonder who your source is, but I'd bet money whoever it is isn't getting their info from Shayna. Regardless just so you know Donkey I am not Shayna, my name is Pat and I don't even work at Genesis anymore. I was laid off just yesterday due to budget cuts. So you can rest assure I won't be commenting on anything here anymore just like Shayna. Just so you know the CEO at Genesis reads this board so you are really screwing Shayna by putting her name out there like you do. From now on just blame it on me since I've been shown the door already!
 
Everyone on this AM-1470 topic has too much time on their hands. This station is virtually a non-factor in this market. The new Spanish format and continued horrible signal will keep it that way.
