Heard thru the grapevine that WWBA may be looking for news people for their operation. Didn't see them show up in the October ratings for news/talk. Anyone have any thoughts???
 
Don't think they subscribe. Ratings would be in the bottom half of the market like most of the AMs are. They have a news network of sorts - Tampa, Orlando, and the Space Coast all have news stations and sports stations too I believe.
 
And as far as the network goes -- I read and noticed last week, it appears 1190 AM (WAMT) up in Orlando is no longer participating in the network, and running Caribbean fare now. 1060 and 820 seem to be as-is. Haven't followed America's Radio News -- but the newstalkflorida site doesn't seem to mention whether they air it any longer. Has 820 gone completely live and local for news coverage? Still partners with Channel 10?

AM-820 is a waste of nothing than it used to be. Back in the day used to be a very good sports station then spanish now cheap blah am that no one wants to hear. America Radio News I dont understand why a local AM station want to run it.
 
AM 820 could be much better than it is... that's for sure. A couple of my friends and former co-workers work over there and they're very cool people... also as I've mentioned before, they have Phil Hendrie.... other than that, yeah the station is pretty bad.
 
Yea...think they have a 50K station in Titusville of all places. Space Coast radio. Most of the signal is out in the Atlantic. Another station licensed to Egypt. All AM's.
 
What would you like to be for AM-820 beside 24/7 paid promgs and a waste of nothing? Something like really good for WWBA-AM 820 to be like ESPN Deportes or spanish again.
