Geno

So Geno who does afternoons on Q105 and also afternoons on a station in Boston is now doing afternoons in Las Vegas. The magic of VT. How does he do it?!

The days of the “fly jock” are long gone. Hard to believe now there was a time when Tom Joyner had to fly from Dallas to Chicago and back again, every day for many years.

I could track a four hour shift in about 30 minutes. Afternoon drive in a large or major market probably would take a little longer, but voicetracking is usually pretty easy. Despite the audience saying we talk too much, we only talk about 5 minutes an hour, and the music is still flowing during a minute or two of that. With fiber internet, which wasn't available when I was tracking, he could probably do afternoons live on Q105 while tracking his shifts in Boston and Vegas.

BTW - Not only did I quote your post, but I sat here for a long while and thought about it!

LOL I know you said some of this in jest and with sacrasm.

I do it everyday im on in alaska 7 to 9am and 12 to 3 live (local time)

im on in SE WYoming 6 days a week 3 to 7pm (local time.. which puts me on KSKO and KLMI at the same time for 2 hours every weekday)

Playout one automation (in wyoming) is amazingly easy and simple for remote VT
