Gentner TS612 hybrid problem

Hi

We have a Gentner ts 612 phone system
It has worked for many years without any problem but now there is a constant sound comming from the ear peice even when not on hook.
It holds all the phone lines that before passed through it.
There is a small clicking soung coming from the power supply in the mainframe
Any help would be great
I have basic elec skils, can use multimeter etc

Thanks
Brian

The clicking sound may be caused by dried up filter capacitors. The TS 612 is an older model call director, so it isn't outside the whelm of possibility the caps are drying out. That could also cause noise or hum in the audio.

Sounds like a bad power supply. I don't believe the TS612 is supported by Comrex anymore, but the power supply is a fairly generic switching supply and should be readily available from the usual electronic parts suppliers.
