GEOFF FOX JOINS WTIC (FOX CT)

Literally breaking news just now on FOX CT's Twitter. After many visits to their station recently, former WTNH meteorologist Geoff Fox is joining WTIC. No other information at this time, but thought I'd share the info here.

Went happens to Garrett?

Good to see Jeff back though.

Isn't he gone already? I think that was why Rachel Frank became the nightly weather person at 10 PM some time ago. Maybe he could back to channel 30? Ha! Not likely. :D

Great for Geoff though! Now they'll finally have a second person on their newscast whom I can actually tolerate (Rich Cappola being the other).

Shows you how much I watch the WTIC News. :)

Thats a good gain for FOX 61, but in the article he will only do the weather for the 11pm newscast and a science report for the news at 4. They should have him do weather at 4, 10, and 11.

For those of us who said goodbye to that crappy channel in New Haven (oops, I guess that should be two of them) it's welcome news. I'll now have to have my antenna guy over to move the antenna permanently.

I also heard LIN will be adapting a new marketing slogan for the New Haven market "Who Stabs You In The Back? News 8"

Welcome back to the Connecticut airwaves, Geoff.

I hate to think that Ann Nygerg and/or Keith Kountz will be the next ones let go. What about Mark Davis? Has been at WTNH-TV since the 1980s at least! :(

A science report? They might as well have him do Lutzker's segments while she's on maternity leave.

You don't bring in a well-known meteorologist and assign him to do cooking segments.

Sorry if I asked this question before, but did Geoff have any kind of a non-compete clause in his old contract with WTNH-TV?
