Geoff St John on KBIG tonight!

Hosting Disco Saturday Night.

Just a fill in, or is the "Fierce one" up to something, like a return to LA? Remember, he worked at KPWR from 92-94.
______________

Well, he didn't sound VTed tonight, he was actually taking calls. And he even played 90s/current dance music as his background music bed!
______________

Hate to tell you, but it's the mixer Ray Rhodes who picks the background beds that run under the jock on DSN. Also, it's usually a "live" shift from 6-10pm and VT'd from 10p-3a. They bank calls early so that they can have some to play back after ten as well.

Ray Rhodes is the secret weapon of DSN, just as the mixers, Joe Vinyl and Howie T along with Ray, are the secret weapons of Boogie Nights.

I was proud to be the longest-running host of DSN, but Ray had been mixing the show since its inception.
______________

Oh Geezus. It's a live show. Haven't you guys ever heard of an ISDN line?

Sorry dude, but I've been there during the show and that's the way it's done.
Even if he was doing it via isdn the deejay is usually only live from 6-10p.
He could even do it in Prophet if he's using a studio that's connected as such.
Since he works at SF's 94.9 and its a Clear Channel station that's a no brainer...
