GEOGE CARLIN TRIBUTE ON RIGHT NOW! 1360

Hey, Mike and all::::

Great work!! Missed the first few minutes but caught the rest. Touching call from Burns. The 2001 recording was amazing...Carlin remembered a lot of FTW stuff. Wish I could've recorded the show.

I truly dont understand the media attention.. This was one no talent comic... Why all the attention.. Geez.. He was not funny.. AT ALL
Well, we're certainly entitled to our opinions. My personal interest was that such a luminary had roots here in Dallas-Fort Worth, and should be honored accordingly for his history here. We accomplished that.

An interesting footnote. Carlin did several on-air interviews on KXOL in his post KXOL days but Sunday was the first time in 48 years that Jack Burns has been heard on KXOL (well...1360 AM in D/FW). He was very moved when I talked to him on the phone.
It was very cool. Sorry I was not in studio to participate! ;)

As Ray put it, that was the "crown jewel" of the whole tribute, having Jack on the air with us. I don't know how you pulled it off, John, but I'm still shaking my head in disbelief. THANK YOU for all you did...and for pulling off a miracle or two in there while dealing with last week's events. I'm proud of ya, pal!
